8-Track Tape to CD Transfers

Useful Information        8-Track Tape to CD Transfers
8-Track Tapes Transferred to CD  It is not important to know the exact tape length.  It is important to know our pricing structure and policies.  You may run our order form based on a "guesstimate". We will know the exact duration of your tape after we record and process it. We then adjust the charges to the correct amount, based on our published rates.
8-Track Tapes Transferred to CD  You may submit 8-track tapes that are not in playable condition.  The repair cost is usually under $15.  If the roller is melted or the shell needs replacing, the cost will be $15-$20.
8-Track Transferred to CD  It is common for 8-track tapes to appear to be in working condition, but when trying to play them the tape breaks (or is eaten by the machine).  We will fix these problems.  The repair cost is usually under $15.  If the problem is severe the cost may be slightly higher.
8-Track Transferred to CD  Pre-recorded (store-bought, "album") 8-track tapes usually run less than 1 hour.  They will fit on 1 CD.  Please be aware that "Home-Recorded" tapes (90 minute and 120 minute tapes) or double-length album tapes may run longer than the length of 1 CD.  In that case, we will make 2 CD's.  Tapes 80 to 92 minutes in length will result in 2 CD's, charged at the "Long 8-Track Tape" price.  Tapes longer than 92 minutes will be charged as 2 CD transfers of the appropriate length.
8-Track Transferred to CD  Please remember: if your recording is LONGER than the maximum length of a CD (80 minutes), we will make 2 CD's.  Tapes 80 to 92 minutes in length will result in 2 CD's, charged at the "Long 8-Track Tape" price.  If the recording is longer than 92 minutes, it will be charged as 2 CD transfers of the appropriate length.
