Select video length Beta / Betamax / Beta SP tape transfers

This page is a video project length selector for the following Beta tape formats:

• Beta (Betamax) tapes used in home VCRs.
• Super Beta (High Band Beta) tapes.
• Extended Definition Beta (ED Beta) tapes.
• Beta SP (or Betacam SP) - a professional Beta tape format used in Television studios or Corporate/Industrial /Professional studios.
• We DO NOT support and DO NOT accept for processing DigiBeta tapes.
• Please make sure that the video material you submit for transfer is in perfect working condition and plays correctly. We do not accept and are not able to repair defective video tapes. If the tape you submit plays with defects, such defects will be present in the transfer we produce.

I don't know the length of my Beta tape

• Most people do not know the length of their videos. This is not a problem. Make your selection based on a reasonable guess. When we get your Beta tape at our studio we will determine the exact length and charge the correct amount based on our current prices. Even if you picked the wrong length, your video transfer and conversion will be made for the correct length and will be priced correctly.
• We will transfer (and charge) for the amount of time that a Beta tape is RECORDED with ANY type of material. This includes TV shows, test patterns, dark or gray screen, test tones, interesting or uninteresting material, and such. We do not transfer (and charge) for the portion of a video tape that is left UNRECORDED, such as blank tape containing static and hiss.
• IMPORTANT: If the Beta tape you submit was recorded for longer than what you selected when you placed your order, we will consider that as an oversight on your part and we will NOT STOP the transfer abruptly at the exact minute up to which you placed your order. Instead, we will continue processing the video transfer and charge accordingly for the entire recorded tape. If you would like us to stop the transfer EXACTLY at the minute up to which you placed the order for (and do not want us to continue, process and charge as described above), you MUST enter that instruction in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS box of the order form and/or in a note enclosed with the video material.
• EXAMPLE 1: You place an order for a 1-30 minutes Beta transfer. The tape you submit is recorded for 40 minutes. We transfer and process the 40 minutes recorded on the tape and charge for a 31-60 minute transfer.
• EXAMPLE 2: You know that your Beta tape runs beyond 30 minutes, but are interested in only the first 30 minutes on the tape. You MUST let us know to stop the transfer at the 30-minute mark by entering that instruction in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS box of the order form and/or in a note enclosed with the tape. Otherwise the entire recorded tape wil be processed/charged.
• As in the example above, if you are interested in transfering only a number-of-minutes segment of your tape, that segment MUST begin at the beginning of the tape. We will not be able to start a segment transfer at any other point than the beginning of the tape.
