"I received CD's and MP3 CD's yesterday for the 3 reel-to-reel tapes I sent in. These were pretty old tapes (one around 33 years old) that had not been on a player since the 1980's when my reel-to-reel recorder was stolen and never replaced. One of them, in particular, contained unreplaceable studio performance tracks from a record album I had made in 1975 at the (then new) Pinebrook recording studio Bill Gaither had built in Alexandria, Indiana. I used the tracks as I traveled around the country doing concerts in churches and other places. When my wife (I married my pianist) and I recently started providing music for a local care center, we discovered many people who appreciated the same type of music we do. The MP3 copies, in particular, sound much like I remember them when the tracks were laid down with mid 70's technology. We now will be able to share some of these in our new-found ministry. Thanks for offering this service and for taking such good care of my original (and as it turns out very delicate) tape."

Glossary – X
