  1. The fight that the Joe Louis recording was made for was the Sept 7 (or Sept 27th) 1950 fight vs Ezzard Charles ( yes, Ezzard). Here’s some info on Ezzard Charles:

  2. I just came across your site and have a little more info, as I have an original ticket from this fight,. The fight was Sept 27th, 1950 at 3:30pm. Ringside seat at Yankee Stadium cost $30.00. Big money back then
