It's A Small World - The recording was plagued with clicks and crackles. Sound restoration completely eliminated both clicks and crackles. |
Wire Recording Choir (Silent night) - Due to the technology at the time when wire recordings were recorded (poor microphones, poor or no grounding, noisy electrical source, etc.), most wire recordings suffer from enormous hum. This is something we can address. Listen to the difference in the restored version. |
Wire Recording Sermon - Original wire had horrendous hum. After sound restoration, the voice comes through nice and clear. |
Partly Demagnetized Reel-to-Reel Tape - Due to poor storage (and/or poor recording machine) this tape sounds today extremely muffled. Audio frequencies are not lost uniformly on magnetic tape. The first (and easiest) to go are the high frequencies. Sound restoration makes this tape at least "listenable". |

Classical Music - Oboe Concerto - A nice recording, but at some point in the past somebody put some nasty scratches on the LP! Magically cleaned by audio restoration. |
Classical Music Orchestra and Spoken Voice - Another badly scratched record, returned to pristine condition. Note that the spoken part is not muddled and the original speaker's voice is left completely intact. |
Male Vocalist and Orchestra - The sweetest Irish song you have ever heard! Listen to the Before version and throw your hands in the air: "Oh, My!" But wait! A little Magic Sound Restoration and "poof": the sweet sound comes back to life. |
Solo Guitar - This record was pressed on very poor quality vinyl. Instead of quietly "gliding" over the surface, you can hear the needle "rumbling" its way into the groove (this type of noise is aptly called "rumble"). Not to speak of the general background noise of clicks and crackles that make this fine recording unlistenable. Not all is lost, though: listen to the After sound and be amazed! |
Female Vocal, Sweet Folk Song - This is an extreme example of an almost completely shot recording. Listening to the Before version, one would hink that this is beyond repair. A little Magic (and a lot of work) and this beautiful recording received a new life. Listen to the After version and be amazed (extra charges applied). |
Female Vocal, Sweet Folk Song - BONUS: complete track - Here is the complete track. There were many more faults in the original recording. Give a complete listen to the Before version to see the many defects (some that would seem impossible to fix). In many places the sound needed to be reconstructed using state of the art computer technology. Listen to the After restored track: a beautiful song we can again enjoy listening to. The additional Restoration work that was necessary on this track cost approx. $100. |
