"Back in the late 40's our father, then a single man worked in a Philadelphia music store. He made a voice over demo record single side on a 78. Dad died in 1962 and the record was tucked away for decades until I found it recently quite by accident. A friend had turntable for 78 speed and i found Dad was quite the tenor, but as expected the record popped, hissed, scratched with other assorted background noises. I found LP2CD and forwarded the record and an old photo of Dad as a young man sitting at the piano. My goal was to present this as a Christmas present to my sister and I was a little apprehensive. I needn't have worried, and i was more than pleased with the results. They made 2 CDs and placed the photo inside the case, looks very professional and the sound is great. No hisses or scratches, just Dad singing away. My sister is going to be shocked into absolute silence......I can't wait. Thank you LP2CD"

Non-Advancing Tracks

Non-Advancing Tracks: record "bands" that prevent the needle from continuing to the next track

  • When the needle gets to a non-advancing "band", playback stops. An operator must manually move the needle to the next track.
  • Non-Advancing Tracks complicate the recording process considerably. They require significantly more operator labor and more recording time.

It is not possible to determine by looking at a record if the bands are normal (advancing) or non-advancing. Therefore it is not necessary to add this option to the order. If we encounter Non-Advancing Tracks on the record(s), we will log the occurence(s) and charge appropriately.
