"After searching & talking to many family members my Sister and I finally found Uncle Herb's old wire recorder and tapes. We thought we would play them ourselves on the recorder, but after reading info on the internet about wire recorders and snarls, etc, we started looking for a company to convert them for us. We finally decided on CVC. We felt the wire recordings would be very bad, or no good at all after being in a garage or attic for 45 years. HELLO THEY WERE WONDERFUL. I got tearful hearing my Aunts and Uncles sing and play, also hearing my own wedding that was 47 years ago. I actually heard the Preacher this time around, and my Sisters beautiful voice. The CD's are not perfect, there is a little glitch every now and then, but then Uncle Herb wasn't perfect and the imperfections are so minute, the sound is so clear and good, you won't believe it. I am sending the last 3 wires today to be restored. Thank you for bring back many great memories."

Quadraphonic Recording Fee

We always ask our customers to please not send in quadraphonic recordings that are damaged (such as warped records, records with severe tracking problems, etc.). Occasionally this is unavoidable and we receive quadraphonic recordings in bad shape.

  • If a quad record is warped or a recording (of any format) has other playback problems we need to spend considerably more time on the recording portion of the project. Consequently, we will charge one Quadraphonic Recording Fee (extreme cases may require several Recording Fees) per recording in order to be able to achieve acceptable playback (please note that acceptable is not synonymous with perfect, as we may never achieve perfect playback).
