Extra Tracks over 18 (first 18 tracks are free)

• We include in the base price of our transfers the first 18 tracks (25 tracks for Double LP Albums).
• Some recordings are highly segmented and will result in more than 18 tracks per CD. We will be happy to cut into as many tracks as needed, but we charge for Extra Tracks over 18.
• If you have a highly segmented recording (or a very long recording) that you know will result in more than 18 tracks and you DO NOT care for all those tracks, let us know (there is a space for Instructions on the Checkout page) and we will stop at 18 (so you do not incur extra charges). If you do not tell us to stop at 18 tracks, we will cut in tracks as needed and then apply the charges for Extra Tracks. 

Individual Restoration Units

• The regular Sound Restoration service provides one (1) restoration per CD. This works best if the material to be restored has similar characteristics for the entire CD.
• Individual Restoration Units provide individual restoration setting and additional sound engineer time.
• If your CD includes recordings from different sources, restoring each source individually is recommended (one Individual Restoration Unit per source).

Recording Fee

• We always ask our customers to please not send in recordings that are damaged.
• If a record is warped or has other playback problems we need to spend considerably more time on the recording portion of the project. We charge one Recording Fee per record in order to be able to achieve acceptable playback. 

Repair Fee

• We always ask our customers to please not send in recordings in need of repairs (except for 8-track tapes, which we can repair).
  • Standard Repair (most repairs) 
  • Major Repair (8-track tapes with melted roller, lots of tape spilled out, the shell needs replacing, or other involved repairs) 

Insurance (delivery signature required by USPS)

• Insurance may be used for all shipping services.
• For US Postal Service, $100 insurance and up is an inexpensive way of making sure that the Post Office treats your package with extra care and will require signature on delivery. 
• Insurance is inexpensive and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Quadraphonic tapes

• Generally quadraphonic reel-to-reel tapes do not require additional work/services. Shuld additional reel-to-reel specific services be needed (splices, flanges needed, baking, etc.), we will perform the necessary services. The information and prices are the same as for our non-quad reel-to-reel transfer services and they are published on our site under non-quad reel-to-reel transfer services.
