"From reading the information on your web page it’s clear you did a thorough job of trying to anticipate every possible question and concern of your customers, and that you have thought carefully about how to run your business. I picked you to do the audio transfer of two very old “voice of your man in service” 78’s, both of which had damage in some of the grooves. You successfully recorded all four sides with only a couple of skips that were not fixable. All your efforts were timely and efficient and professional. I appreciated, especially, the detailed after-action report (“recording log”) describing the issues and how you went about addressing them. Great job – thanks, so much!"

Raw Transfers - Transfer Type and Length

Raw Transfers are (unedited) audio data files of your recordings, all tracks (channels), digitized at 24 bits / 96 kHz (or 16/44 if you prefer) using the best available playback equipment and A/D converters.

The Raw Transfers option is used by studios and audio "do-it-yourselfers". If you are reading this and are not familiar with the terminology, it will be wiser not to select this option.

  • 24/96: digitizing at 24 bits and 96 kHz
  • 16/44: digitizing at 16 bits and 44 kHz
  • Length (of time):
    • Many people do not know the length (of time) of their tapes. This is not a problem. Make your selection based on a reasonable guess.
    • We digitize the entire tape (beginning to end) and charge for the actual length (of time) of the tape, using our current prices (published on this site).
    • Even if you picked the wrong length, digitizing will be for complete tape length and will be priced correctly.
