Online ordering was a little confusing, so I called to make sure I was ordering exactly what I wanted. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very polite and eager to ..."

  • IMPORTANT: 16 Inch Transcriptions transfers processed as "Transfer Only" are NOT RECOMMENDED, unless you are ordering for an Audio Production Studio which will perform the Sound Restoration. 16 Inch (and 17 Inch) Transcriptions are well-worn and have high levels of various noises. Unless you are ordering for an Audio Production Studio, "going cheap" and ordering a "Transfer Only" is not worth the money (including shipping costs). Transfers "with Sound Restoration" clear up the sound tremendously, optimize the levels and are by far the best way to go

We accept under this category and pricing:

  • 16"  records ("Transcriptions", "Broadcast" or "Radio Transcriptions", "Platters", "Electrical Transcriptions") at 33 1/3 rpm or 78rpm
  • 17" platters

Radio Transcriptions - What you get for your $:

  • Each transcription platter is cleaned in a professional record cleaning machine prior to playback.
  • The needle is deep cleaned and conditioned before each play.
  • The record is wiped again before playing each side.
  • Playback and recording on professional equipment (each of our interconnect cables costs more than the average discounter's studio...).
  • XQ (Extreme Quality) Service - Premium stylus/cartridge, premium tonearm, premium turntable and electronics.
  • Playback and recording is frequently monitored by sound engineers.
  • Tracking problems are corrected. Severe tracking problems or defects will incur Recording Fee(s).

  • XQ (Extreme Quality) Service - More individual Sound Engineer time for processing.
  • An MP3 CD of this project (if selected).
  • If transcription records are cut into bands, each band gets one CD track. If not, each side gets 1 track. Our CDs are cut into tracks by human beings who know where a new track should begin.  We do not use automatic cutting into tracks.
  • CD is printed (we do not use glued-on labels).
  • CD is quality checked.
  • CD is delivered in "classic jewel-case" (with optional Color CD Cover and Track List).
  • Over 22 years experience - 19,000 successful projects.
  • On-line tracking system.
  • Automatic email notifications on receipt of your recordings and order check-out.
  • Optional RUSH Services: 1 week or 72 hours turnaround time
NOTE:
  • A CD holds maximum 80 minutes. We will put on one CD as many sides as possible. If all submitted sides do not fit on one CD, we will make two CDs and charge for two transfer projects. Example: you selected 4 sides, for a total of 120 minutes.  Records will be put on 2 CDs and charged as two transfers (of 2 sides each).
  • We ask our customers to use common sense in what to expect for final quality from Transcription Records: if a transcription is moldy or excessively worn, the CD will NOT sound perfect.  It will sound better than the original transcription, but not great!  It is better to have modest expectation that will be exceeded, than to have unrealistic expectations and be disappointed.  Restoring 50-60-70 year-old transcriptions that were stored in less than optimum conditions for the last 40 years is a gamble: the end result may be great, horrible, or somewhere in the middle.  We, as professionals, will tilt the odds in favor of "quality".  However, we do not participate in the gamble.
  • XQ (Extreme Quality) Service - recommended for getting the most out of your original material.
  • This service opens access to our premium equipment.
  • Each recording receives more individual Sound Engineer time.
