LP to CD Transfers - What you get for your $:

• Each record is cleaned in a professional record cleaning machine prior to playback.
• The needle is deep cleaned and conditioned before each play.
• The record is wiped again before playing each side.
• Playback and recording on professional equipment. Each of our interconnect cables costs more than the average discounter's studio.
• XQ (Extreme Quality) Service - Premium stylus/cartridge, premium tonearm, premium turntable and electronics.
• Sound Restoration is applied if selected. No Sound Restoration for Thrifty Transfers.
• XQ (Extreme Quality) Service - More individual Sound Engineer time for processing.
• Additional Restoration Versions may be ordered (with initial order, or later). Not available for XQ (Extreme Quality) Service.
• Color CD Cover and Track List is prepared (if selected).

• CD is cut into tracks by human beings who know where a new track should begin. We do not use automatic cutting into tracks. (Thrifty Transfers: CD has one track.).
• Music recordings: each song gets 1 track (minimum unambiguous pause required).  Continuous speech recordings: cut into logical segments, approx. 10-minute long tracks.
• CD is printed (we do not use glued-on labels) and quality checked. (Thrifty Transfers: CD is not printed.) 
• Delivered in "classic jewel-case" (with optional Color Cover and Track List). (Thrifty Transfers: CD delivered in sleeve.).

SUGGESTION:

• Sound Restoration (cleaning of the sound and remastering the recording) is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
• Except for very few high end records (starting in the mid 1980's), most vinyl records are noisy.
• Our Sound Restoration process does not alter the sound of the original recording.
• If you are not sure whether or not you should order Sound Restoration, order Both Versions: Transfer AND Sound Restoration.
• You will receive 2 CDs. One version with the original unaltered sound ("Transfer Only") and one version with Restored sound ("Sound Restoration"). If you are ordering "Transfer AND Sound Restoration" and "Extra CD Copies", please indicate which version should go on the Extra CD: the Transfer Only version or the Sound Restoration version.  If you would like both versions in a "set", please double the "Extra CD Copies" order (1 Extra CD Set with both versions = 2 "Extra CD Copy"). If you do not double the order or specify a version, we will make the "Extra CD Copy" from the "Restored Sound" version.
• Double LP Album Set please NOTE: If you have a double album set and the combined length is less than 79 min 55 sec, you may have both records transferred to one CD.
  • Both LP's must belong to the same set (packaged together in the same sleeve or box).
  • Total length of both LP's must be less than 79 min 55 sec.  If longer, 2 CD's will be made, charges for 2 LP transfers apply.
  • For double albums: up to 25 tracks included (tracks over 25 extra).
  • For Double Album Sets, you may order:
    • Transfer Only
    • Transfer with Sound Restoration
    • Both Versions
• XQ (Extreme Quality) Service - recommended for getting the most out of your original material. 
• This service opens access to our premium equipment.
