"I received my CD's recently and I must tell you that the quality of the reproduction far exceeded my expectations! I was amazed by the clarity of the records. I think it's better sound than was possible at the time they were made. Thank you so much for doing this wonderful work. We are thrilled!"

Format for delivery of final video

DVD transfers - single layer DVD

  • Standard Definition DVD transfers (Thrifty, Pretty or Broadcast-quality) will be delivered as an authored Video DVD. We provide the blank DVD. The single layer DVD holds a maximum of 4.38 computer GigaBytes. It is recommended for videos up to 1 hour in length. If your video is longer than 1 hour, a dual/double layer DVD is recommended to avoid additional (and unnecessary) compression.

DVD transfers - dual/double layer DVD

  • Standard Definition DVD transfers (Thrifty, Pretty or Broadcast-quality) will be delivered as an authored Video DVD. We provide the blank DVD. Dual/double layer DVDs are recommended for videos 75 to 100 minutes in length and strongly recommended for videos 101 up to 180 minutes in length.

For RAW SD transfers - customer supplied fast HDD or SSD

  • RAW uncompressed Standard Definition transfers are VERY large in size and push the 1TB threshold. Customer provides the drive. Please add a fast HDD or SSD (M.2 SSD OK) in the package you use to send in your video master. The HDD or SSD must be of sufficient size (1TB suggested) and must be fast. Please DO NOT send an ancient or slow drive as it may take hours (or a whole day) to copy to. Sending us a slow drive or card that commits us to hours of copying will incur a fee. The drive will be PC formatted. The huge size, immense data rate and the R210 codec of the file will make video playback with consumer software media players (such as VLC) impractical, difficult or impossible. Instead, use the RAW Standard Definition (uncompressed) file in a video editing program.

For 4K-UHD - 25GB authored video Blu-Ray

  • An authored video 4K UHD Blu-Ray on a 25GB disc. We provide the blank Blu-Ray. This Blu-Ray is compatible and will play in any current standalone video Blu-Ray player, connected to a 4K (or 8K) UHD TV or monitor. If your PC is capable of playing video 4K UHD Blu-Ray discs, our Blu-Rays will play as well.

For 4K-UHD - 50GB authored video Blu-Ray

  • An authored video 4K UHD Blu-Ray with less compression (and a higher data rate), made to fit a 50GB (dual layer) disc.

For 4K-UHD HEVC file on SD card

  • This option is for customers who do not have a computer Blu-Ray drive or a standalone Blu-Ray player. We provide the blank SD card. Here are some specs of the video file: HEVC H-265 high quality settings, Main 10 profile, 10 bit depth in .mov container. The video file is highly compatible with consumer software media players (such as VLC). Please DO NOT attempt to play the video file directly from the SD card as the playback will be stuttered. Copy the video file from the SD card to a fast HDD or SDD. Play back from the HDD or SSD.

For 4K-UHD HEVC file on data 25GB Blu-Ray

The video file is highly compatible with consumer software media players (such as VLC). Please DO NOT attempt to play the video file directly from the Blu-Ray disc as the playback will be stuttered.
