Roger Salloom is a relative of mine. There is a site on which and old poster from 1968 announces a concert at which Salloom, Sinclair shares billing with Santana. In light of the awards Carlos Santana recently won it is interesting. I found it by getting onto the the search engine and simply typing in the word “Salloom”.

Originally from Texas, Roger Salloom and Robin Sinclair moved to Chicago to take a part on the local Blues scene. The first album, which is a very minor collectors’ item, was recorded in there in 1968. The killer cut is a drug song called She Kicked Me Out Of The House Last Night (After This One). It features freaked-out vocals, a full organ sound and some good psychedelic guitar work. Salloom wrote seven of the eight tracks, the last one Griffin being authored by Robin Sinclair, a powerful female singer. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Charlie McCoy, Wayne Moss and Norman Dayron (Michael Bloomfield manager), their second album, Salloom-Sinclair is more country-rock than psychedelic and includes both sides of the 45 listed. When the group disbanded, Roger Salloom went back to Texas where he formed Roger Salloom and the Vest Pocket Players, releasing an album on a local label. In 1983, he recorded Would You Like To Meet Someone on Yellow Plum Records.

My dad (Dick Orvis) was the keyboard player in Mother Bear. He still plays in a rock band based in South Bend, Indiana. He travels with his band Champion to Naples, Florida quite a bit. Roger Salloom has a movie coming out about him.

Robin, after leaving Salloom Sinclair joined San Francisco band Gold.

After Salloom-Sinclair broke up Robin moved to San Francisco and became the lead singer in GOLD a powerful dynamic rock and roll band. She appeared with them at Winterland on a bill with Big Brother and The Holding Company and Ten Years After. She also sings all the lead vocals on GOLD’s CD “Mission Rock” released in 2002 by Worldinsound a German label.
