Since December 29, 2013, when I was licensed in The Gospel Ministry, I have played the Berea College Black Ensemble album every Sunday morning as part of my worship experience. That was a lot of wear and tear on the album, and when it began skip, warble, and dance the gig it saddened me to hear it. I aggressively sought anyone who could restore/ remaster my precious masterpiece. The album was recorded in 1971 at Berea College.
I flew in from New York to witness the recording, but I arrived too late. My friend flew in from Germany and we took a flight out of Laguardia Airport to Lexington, Kentucky. I purchased 100 copies to show my support. I gave 97 copies to friends and kept three of them. Only one was left. I love that album for so many reasons and would have paid twice as much, if I had known the quality of work was this great. I can hear every classmate and friend as if it were yesterday!
Don't shop around- just tell them what you want and wait to hear quality sound like no other. Thank you Dr. Coban. All is well. I can now take it with me to their 50th Class Reunion. Everyone thinks I graduated with them. Nay, I am a graduate of Lehman College in the Bronx. Go Lancers. I trust Dr, Coban to edit as he sees fit. I trust him and his team, COMPLETELY!
